Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Our ICU Unit has a 6 bed capacity and is kitted with modern machinery and equipment that allow our nursing team and doctors on call to monitor the condition of our patients keenly. Other than bedside monitors, the nursing station has a monitor with all the vitals of the patients in the 6 beds making it easier for the team to track drastic changes and respond immediately.

Our nursing team is fully trained in advanced critical care nursing and they have the response reflexes and knowledge on how to deal with organ complications and basic life support.

The Tenwek Hospital HDU Unit is a complementary Critical Care Unit to our ICU. The facility has a 7 bed capacity and the team has been trained on critical care support, nutrition and emergency response.

The unit is kitted with modern equipment and a skilled team who work round the clock to monitor the condition of our patients with an eagle eye.

Referral to the Tenwek Hospital ICU and HDU is allowed as long as the correct channel of referral is used and based on the availability of bed space.
