Satellite Health Facilities

Tenwek Hospital runs three satellite facilities that complement the services offered by the main hospital. The teams at the satellite clinics are also able to refer complicated cases to the main hospital for immediate attention.

Tenwek Hospital Bomet Annex

Officially opened in August 2018 by H.E Dr. Joyce Laboso, Tenwek Hospital Annex is conveniently located in Bomet town next to St. Michaels Secondary School. The facility is served by a team of qualified specialists and headed by a Medical Officer who oversees daily operations and service to our patients.

Services offered include:

General Outpatient

We offer a variety of advanced and effective treatment for both acute and chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and hypothyroidism among others. Our physicians are also able to identify and manage problems that arise in the ear, nose and throat such as treatment of infections, removal of foreign bodies, hearing assessment and minor surgical procedures.

Pediatrics

Using modern technology, we provide personalized and compassionate care to manage your child’s health. Keen consideration is given to a child’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth giving you quality diagnosis and treatment remedies.

Trauma and Emergency

We are equipped to assess the condition of our patients in order to provide timely treatment and compassionate care for minor injuries and offer direct referrals for serious injuries.

Ultrasound/X-Rays

We offer X-Rays and non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound examinations useful in pre-natal scanning, detecting bone fractures and imaging other body parts.

Lab Testing

Our facility is fully equipped to collect biological specimens and run comprehensive tests on them. Some of the tests that we run include:

Kaboson Health Centre

Located in Bomet County in Chepalungu, Kaboson Health Centre is an outpatient facility that caters for the medical needs of the people in the area. The facility is staffed by a team of medics who work to ensure that our patients get treatment and medical attention with convenience and ease.

We are in the process of restoring the facility to return it to its original 10 bed capacity inpatient facility and have sent a missionary doctor to head all operations at the facility.

The facility is open 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm and we offer the following services:

General outpatient services
Lab testing
Pharmaceutical services
Trauma and emergency
Referral &
Emergency deliveries for mothers and babies who are at risk

Ngiito Dispensary

Ngiito Dispensary is located in South West Narok and is operational 7 days a week to ensure that communities around the area receive the treatment and care necessary for survival. The satellite facility is run by a nursing officer in charge and supported by clinicians and lab technologists who work round the clock to attend to our patients. Every Wednesday, a team of family medicine consultants visit Ngiito from the main hospital to attend to patients who require specialized care.
